Children, Young People & Family Support

Care & Support at Home

Care and support for children or young people with disabilities and/or life limiting illnesses can be provided within your home by professional caregivers who supply daily care to support the parent/carer.

Family Services

Family support services are community-based services that assist and support parents in their role as caregivers.  Services can take many different forms depending on the strengths and needs of the family, but their goal is to help parents enhance skills and resolve problems to promote optimal child development.

Short Break Opportunities

Short break opportunities provide day or overnight care in your own home, or accommodation in a facility outside the home.  This provides temporary respite to those who are caring for family members.

Social Inclusion

Social inclusion promotes the engagement of activities outwith or within the home which reduce isolation for the child or young person, support friendships, provide new experiences and increase confidence.  This may also provide a short break for the parent\carer.
